Last Chance to Bumpit?

Remember Bumpits? The commercials flooded every TV channel around the holidays. Lately, we have seen them on clearance. First, they were $2.99 at Sally Beauty Supply. Then, we saw them for $2.00 U.S. at Big Lots. Looks like they are on their way out for good. This might be your last chance to pick them up, and at 80% off, why not give them a try? 

Buying Bumpits may feel like getting caught listening to that quirky song that you don't want to admit you like. We'll confess: The Glambo Girls have used Bumpits in the past. It's one of those products that work, but not quite as perfectly as you'd hoped. We eventually set them aside and didn't use them much. Glambo decided to give it one more attempt after seeing them on sale, for the sake of the blog. The small Bumpit doesn't do too much, and the larger ones will give you BIG hair (especially if you use hairspray and backcomb.) It's kind of weird having the plastic piece inserted and hidden inside your hairdo. Maybe it's because of the fear that the Bumpits will be seen. One essential item that must be used along with Bumpits is a handheld mirror. Check the top, back and sides of your bouffant to make sure that the piece (or even the teeth of the Bumpit) can not be seen from any angle.


If you haven't tried Bumpits before, get them now. We many not use them daily, but they are great to have on hand for Halloween. How else are you going to create the Peg Bundy or Hairspray look?
