White After Labor Day?

We have all heard the old school rule, "Never wear white after Labor Day." But then, fashion rules are made to be broken, and what was once taboo becomes trendy again.

You probably wouldn't wear a maxi dress and flip flops on a cold, rainy day in November, but what about a rogue scorcher during mid-September?

Designers are creating great pieces that are obviously made to brighten our wardrobes in the winter months. Take a look:

All of these fashions can be found at www.NeimanMarcus.com.

What do you think? Would you wear white after Labor Day?

Spirit Hoods: Fun Accessory or Just Plain Funny?

And you can’t get your guy to put on a Halloween costume…. Conan O’Brien was a great sport for modeling a Spirit Hood (a gift from Vanessa
Hutchens.) Conan said, ‘It looks like you killed an Ewok.’

Certainly not a favorite everyday look for Conan O‘Brien, and maybe not for Vanessa either. But, can’t you just envision this on a 4-6 year old? That would be cute! We did some research, and they make them!

We love Conan!

You know you want one of these! Ha!
Spirit Hoods for women come in styles such as Grizzly Bear and Nasty Rabbit. Men’s styles and sizes are also available. Although, we’re never going to see a man in a Night Owl style without thinking of Conan’s look. Men's and women's Adult Sizes can be found here: http://www.spirithoods.com/.

Children's styles available at http://www.sprithoodkids.com/.

Accessory Binge

The other day, I popped into Old Navy for a pair of jeans for my son, and I was pleasantly caught off-guard by the accessory section of the store. It's grown quite large, and has rings, earring, and necklaces with all kinds of faux-gem color options, in silver and gold finishes. On this particular day, the jade-like pieces were calling out to my inner bohemian princess, and I had to give in. Above is a peek at my fun finds. The best part is that they were all between $5 and $10, so I was able to binge without guilt.

We all know that new accessories can breathe fresh life into a wardrobe, and since it's Spring, why not check out Old Navy for a quick and painless accessory infusion!
